During the Japan Developer Conference, Tzero Technologies will reveal the world’s first commercially available Wireless HDMI solution, preparing us to receive the wireless High Definition video content in our homes in 2009.
Tzero’s Zero Wire 2.0 allows for a low price of $50 per enabled unit and supports full 1080p60 high-definition video streaming for both TV and wireless gaming.
The TZC7200 Ultra Wideband chipset uses the UltraMIMO signal processing technology to offer 480Mbps transfer rates of 1080p60 video with 7.1 surround sound, via 20-meter HDMI connections.
“Wireless HDMI over UWB will be a critical technology for the Japanese consumer electronics industry in 2009 and beyond as they launch new products with support for the latest high definition capabilities,†said Rajeev Krishnamoorthy, CEO of TZero Technologies. “TZero is capitalizing on the unique properties of Ultra Wideband technology including its high bandwidth, extreme signal reliability, low power consumption, and immunity to interference from other wireless devices. We’re excited about the interest level from Japanese CE manufacturers, and we look forward to commercializing an array of products with them in the coming quarters.â€
