Yahoo Messenger v9.0 Released

Finally we have a new version of Yahoo Messenger and it is available for download.



There is nothing special coming out but there are though a few useful features.
The thing that seemed the coolest to me is the new embedding objects feature which allows you to embed into the chat window, movies, images and maps, as you can see in the pictures.



More than that, you can now synchronize the playback of online videos and even share Flickr photos in a slideshow.
The interface is redesigned but the most useful feature now is the raised limit per transfer at 2GB, each file being automatically scanned with Norton AntiVirus.



At last we have the new cute skins, VoIP call forwarding, and the possibility to send SMS to others’s phones with the use of the desktop client.

Update November 7: After installing version 9 i started to have a lot of problems.
While writing in Word the mouse cursor was disappearing from time to time and i had to click over and over again to put it back and continue my sentences. Same was happening while chatting on Yahoo Messenger, but here was worse, the cursor disappeared and the program was getting blocked for a minute.
Finally i have uninstalled version 9 and got back on Yahoo Messenger 8. Things went back to normal.
