Worlds First OLED Wireless Picture Frame

Guess who just unveiled the world’s first wireless picture frame! It’s no other than Kodak, the top leading imaging products manufacturer, which released the OLED Wireless Picture Frame based on its Organic Light Emitting Diode technology.
Based on Kodak’s innovation, the new frame is able to display very sharp images with vivid colors, in the thinner and small form factor.

“Kodak is a worldwide market and technology leader in digital picture frames, and OLED technology was created by Kodak, making us uniquely positioned to bring the benefits of OLED to consumers,” says Pete Jameson, general manager, Digital Devices Group, Eastman Kodak Company. “We’re tremendously proud to introduce this exciting new picture frame.”

Visitors of Photokina trade fair in Germany will have the chance to see the frame at the Kodak booth during September 23-28, and find out all the details about it including the built-in Wi-Fi technology that permits wireless connectivity with a computer for accessing videos and music, as well as sharing media with others over the Internet, in addition to reading news, weather information, sports and more.

The KODAK OLED Wireless Frame has a 7.6-inch display viewable from any angle and featuring the KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology that processes the images adjusting exposure, brightness and colors. More than that, the KODAK Image Science is the one in charge with optimizing images especially for the Organic Light Emitting Diode display panels.
An integrated ambient light sensor ensures best viewability in low light or too bright conditions, while the audio system built-in the frame offers clear surround sounds for videos and as a background for picture slideshows.

“People want their images to look their best,” says Jameson. “Our new OLED frame foreshadows a dynamic future of an exciting new generation of KODAK products that deliver unsurpassed image quality and unprecedented clarity and color for capturing and reliving life’s moments.”

Specifications include 30,000:1 contrast ratio, memory card support, USB connectivity, 2GB internal storage for up to 10,000 pictures, 16:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
The Kodak wireless picture frame comes in stores in November at a retail price of $999.
