If you need wireless Internet connectivity enabled in your home, but high freedom of movement outdoors, this new wireless network range extender kit released by ROSAAK might interest you.
The High-Power Wireless 802.11G USB Adapter Kit uses the IEEE 802.11b/g standard for 54Mbps data rate over USB 2.0 technology and enables an indoor wireless transmission range of up to 300 feet and 1000 feet outdoors.
It is a wireless network range extender that features the Software AP mode for easy setup of the local area network for outdoor use and consists of a detachable antenna with active extension repeater cable of 16 feet length, which increase the wireless range.
Its installation process seems pretty simple. All you need to do is plug the USB adapter into a free USB port, but you also get advanced protection for the wireless network, based on 256-bit WEP, WPA, WPA2, IEEE802.1x, Disable SSID Broadcast, and MAC Address filtering.
ROSAAK announced the shipping of the new wireless network range extender kit this month.
"WRTG-UH605A01 is the best price/performance solution for today's entertainment oriented mobile users." said Jennifer Liu, Vice President of ROSAAK Technology. "It supports WMMTM (Wi-Fi Mutimedia) function, and compatible with Microsoft Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, XP x64, MAC and Linux." "Consumers can get rid of hassles of configuring a networking product with the quick and easy setup via web-based management utility."
