Kodak has released 2 new wireless digital picture frames in the EasyShare models line, called Kodak Easyshare W820 and Kodak Easyshare W1020, measuring 8 inches and 10 inches in diagonal. Both will be available for purchase in August but we can’t be sure of the pricing yet, so let’s take a look at their main features and new capabilities.
Kodak EasyShare W820 uses the Kodak Quick Touch Border, a touch-sensitive illuminated border with yellow lights for direct access to the frame’s functions using a finger slide. The KODAK Color Science delivers rich colors and sharp images, while the KODAK Light Management Film improves the viewability, maintaining the display bright and clear from all angles.
With the wireless capability, you can share cool pictures with friends directly on your frame using the Picture Mail feature via KODAK Gallery, as well as access picture collections on the desktop or laptop computer. You can browse through images on popular web sites and read the latest news, horoscope, sports, traffic and humor, thanks to the Internet content manager FrameChannel. You can also subscribe to RSS feeds on your favorite news websites and read what new directly on the wireless digital photo frame.
The frame model has 2 built-in speakers so you can listen to the music while watching a slideshow with pictures taken in your last trip.
On the 512MB memory you can store up to 4,000 photos and you have the possibility to use 2 card slots to double the storage capacity. It supports USB flash drives and memory card without the need to install drivers.

The wireless digital photo frame is sleeker than other models on the market and it looks great when hanged on the wall vertically or horizontally, or placed on a desk. In addition, it has a discreet cord design that doesn’t catch your attention, while the frame comes with 6 decorative frames to match any room decor.
“Kodak continues to introduce strategic alliances to the mix – partnerships that allow consumers to explore a world without boundaries,” said John Blake, general manager Digital Capture and Devices, Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company. “Kodak’s relationships with pioneers in photo- and content-sharing make it easier than ever for consumers to share pictures with friends and family.”
The larger model, Kodak EasyShare W1020, has the same features of the previous 8-inch model described.
