Wi-fi Detector Shirt

Wi-fi is slowly getting implemented in every corner of the world. Wires are a thing of the past, and soon they’ll even discover that everything is interconnected and that you would only have to think for a bit in order to contact someone on the other side of the Universe. OK, for now, we are stuck with only a bunch of hot spots, of which not all are easily detectable at a glance. You could be using a keychain wi-fi detector, but you don’t really want to get it out of the pocket each time you need to identify a hot spot. Better use the t-shirt wi-fi detector.
The design is simple and intuitive. The glowing bars on the front of the shirt dynamically change as the surrounding wi-fi signal strength fluctuates.
Here’s the list of specs:
• Glowing animated shirt dynamically displays the current wi-fi signal strength.
• Shows signal strength for 802.11b or 802.11g
• Black 100% Cotton T-Shirt
• Animated Decal is removable (with hook and loop fasteners) for easy washing
• Battery pack is concealed in a small pocket sewn inside the shirt
• Runs for hours off three AAA batteries (not included)
A good idea would be to upgrade the detector to deal with the 802.11n standard. You can get one of these from ThinkGeek.com for only $29.99.
