Verizon Blackberry Storm Release
Posted by: Sierra Monica B. in mobile phones

Back in July, we were detailing the features of an upcoming Blackberry handheld manager called Blackberry Thunder, prepared for the release in September at a price of $400 with a 2-year contract. We didn’t get the information from an official press release of Research in Motion, the producer of Blackberry smartphones, nor from the providers, so without checking every information we receive, there is always a possibility to mistake.
Today we want to show you the real smartphone people thought it is called Blackberry Thunder 9500. It seems that Vodafone will provide it next month exclusively, under the name Blackberry Storm 9500, an amazing handset with the first tactile touchscreen display introduced via the telecommunication company in Europe, India, Australia and New Zealand. In the United States, it will be available at Verizon Wireless.
It looks identical to what we though it will be called Blackberry Thunder, and sports the largest high-resolution Blackberry display, high-speed Internet connectivity, access to social networking sites, email, multimedia options like music and video playback, as well as outstanding sound quality.
This amazing Blackberry Storm smartphone is more like a multimedia computer featuring a 3.25-inch screen of 480 x 360 pixels, built-in 3.2MP digital camera for pictures and video recording, as well as an advanced Internet browser, virtual QWERTY, SureType or multi-tap keyboard, landscape mode enabled with the accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, picture upload support, access to Vodafone Music, Google Maps, Find&Go navigation, and Vodafone live! Portal, up to 16GB storage, 5 hours and 30 minutes battery life, and lots of other enhancements.
We also have to add that its touch-sensitive display uses an advanced technology like the haptics in Samsung Instinct, which makes you feel a tactile feedback when touching icons.
The intuitive user interface supports multi-touch, tapping, sliding, so you to be able to scroll, highlight, pan and zoom during menu navigation.

“We are delighted to bring the power of the BlackBerry Storm, purpose built for Vodafone, directly into the hands of consumer and business customers,†said Frank H Rovekamp, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Group. “With its unique clickable touch screen, giving access to all the desirable multi-media features and services such as browsing, music and video, turn by turn satellite navigation, messaging and social networking, and BlackBerry’s mobile heritage and strong business reputation, the BlackBerry Storm is being brought by Vodafone into the consumer world. With Vodafone’s ultra high speed, reliable mobile network and this exclusive and exciting new smartphone, there has never been a better time to be with Vodafone.â€
