PEGA Concepts

Working with ASUS Design, PEGA is a Taiwan-based design company that since 1998 has been winning international awards for its unique design and innovative concept ideas.
We found out about it on Gadget, where we read about the Look@Me Emoticon Keyboard, a new concept inspired by the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, the famous picture language that few specialists know how to decipher.



The Look@Me keyboard has 40 emoticons representing the eyes, mouth or nose and the user can combine these using their imagination, to form new expressions. This works similar with the popular emoticons we use every day to express our thoughts and feelings via chat, forums and comments.
The unique design concept was created by Harry Wu, Ming Yang, Jabez Lin, Ian Hsueh and Vince Yu.



Embrace on the other hand looks like a normal book in a calming color, which would look interesting on the desk near your bed. Visitors might say you are an intensive book reader, but if we look closer we discover that it’s not a book. It actually is a lamp spreading a natural light around, and turns on when you open the book or off when you close it.



You could open it just a bit to get only low light, enough to fall asleep more peaceful.
It was designed by Cachie Wu, Jasper Huang, Jammy Peng and Valentino Shen.

Tech Tap is too futuristic but so amazing and beautiful! The concept is a metaphor of the essential human need of energy, and the way to carry it with you like you use to carry all the other things.



If it would be possible, with Tech Tap you could fill it with jazz and soft light and take it with you near the bed. After that it disappears gradually like the vaporizing water.
The idea comes from Ciaen Lu, Chihwen Hsieh, Ming Yang, Beartwo Lu, Lan Hsueh, David Lee and Jin Yu.



As it is not possible to develop such a concept yet, I recommend you to check this cool gadget that allows you to collect the sun light with the solar jar. It started also as a unique design concept and became a real product with a high popularity.
