Underwater robot goes deeper and deeper

I am actually sick and tired with all of those horrible, even terrifying robots that are constantly being created by all sorts of designers, because I’m afraid that it won’t be long until we become a robots-like society. As far as the behavior is concerned, we all are some sort of robots that do not understand how important it is for them to be nothing but humans.

I am sick and tired with them because I’m afraid of them when they show up in late hours, in my nightmares. But this one, for example, isn’t aimed at making my dreams the most frightening nightmares ever. It seems that this one has some very nice intentions, as a matter of fact.

Designed by the Fraunhofer Institute, the spider is said to be working independently underwater, in cold, dark and full of currents areas, where it will be difficult for a human to go. As you can easily see for yourselves, the robot is provided with four propellers that help it stabilize and, of course, four arms. On the other hand, there are some touch sensors that helps it keep itself stable and grip objects in the claws without deteriorating them.

I’m not sure whether the underwater robot was created indeed for sea exploration, but it sure looks like a very good reason for it to become reality.
