I personally don’t like eggs much but I want to show you what types of electronic gadgets others have designed.
Of course, there are more egg-shaped gadgets on the market but I chose five which I considered to be most useful for everybody and that can’t miss from anyone’s carrying case.



5. Digital Egg Thermometer



This one comes from Grobag and was designed to help parents know the temperature variations of the room where they keep their little babies.
It’s an ingenuous gadget made in such a way that it can change its color depending on the room’s temperature, so the baby will always breathe air maintained between 16 and 20 degrees Celsius.
For example, when the egg becomes yellow that means in the room is the right temperature, but if it turns blue then there’s too cold. Orange means warm, between 21 and 24 degrees Celsius, and red is too warm.
The digital egg thermometer has backlit LCD readout, shows a pleasant glow in the dark, comes with a power adapter and instructions.

4.Egg Digital Photo Frame



It is made in China and has a diagonal of 1.5 inches for its CSTN color display.
The built-in 8MB flash memory allows you to store 80 of your favorite photos in BMP and JPG formats, while it provides a few useful controls: digital photo frame slideshow, clock, brightness settings, and ON/OFF switching.
The images displayed have a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels and the egg digital photo frame charges via a 3.7V lithium battery or 5V USB supply.

3. Egg-Shaped Wireless FM/MP3 with Built-in Speaker and Remote Controller



What can I add in plus to this device’s name? Not too much. It says almost everything about it.
It’s wireless, has FM radio function, MP3 player function, built-in speaker and can be controlled remotely.
There is a 1GB storage space and this egg measures 2.55 x 2.55 x 3.66 inches at 11.39 oz.

2. Egg Speaker



i-Egg DAP stereo speaker from Axxen is a cool gadget sporting a futuristic design, detachable speaker parts, a standard 3.5 mm audio input jack, USB connectivity, SD card slot, and is powered by battery.
You can use it to listen MP3s, WMAs from your USB flash drive or SD memory card, but you’d have to get it from Korea as it was released on the Asian market.

1. Digital Egg Camera



It’s the most advanced technology as it is a digital camera so I have to place it on the first position in the Top 5 here, but if you think that other gadget deserves the place you can tell us right away.
The throwable digital camera in the shape of an egg was made as a surveillance system, very ingenious, because it is based on a wireless video system and provides real-time 360 degrees coverage without to require panning or tilting.

It’s rugged, compact, looks cool and you can throw it over whatever obstacle stays in your way to see the girl next door naked.
It can film where you can’t go so you can throw it over windows, fences; suspend it over ledges, wherever you need.
You will get a quad view of the surroundings and the images can rotate 180 degrees.

So this egg camera has not one but 4 CCD sensor-based eggs, B/W 410K-pixel, has a 90-110 field of view, 0.003 lux minimum illumination, it corrects its settings automatically depending on the light conditions and position, uses wireless video transmission as I was saying at 900MHz band up to 300 meters, has an output power of up to 1W, and can film for up to 2.5 hours.
This smart camera resists at 2-meter drops onto concrete 32 km/hr bounce from 1.5 meters.
