Over the past months, we’ve seen some weird and funny-looking clocks from around the world. This time I want to show you an interesting concept that doesn’t wake you up with unbearable noises or nasty vibrations. The Osim Nioi clock uses a wide variety of scents to wake you up and even tuck you to sleep.

Osim Nioi emits a choice of fragrances at the desired time, so you can be waking up by the delicious smell of fresh bread and filtered coffee.

The concept clock has been designed by designer Alfie Lake. The designer explains that Osim Nioi is intended to give you the best night’s sleep possible and a gentle, positive start to the day. It can emit a subtle lavender or rose fragrance in the night, to induce sweet dreams while you sleep, and a more stirring smell, like French toast and bacon, in the morning when it’s time to wake.

All you need to do is set the time normally and then push down the ‘smell canister’ you want to be woken by. I guess the smell of yummy stuff is good enough, but I think nothing wakes you up quicker than the bad smell of cadavers or dumpy stuff.
