The New Sony Ericsson K850
Published by Sierra Monica B., on Sep 21 2007, in the categories: mobile phones
The fans of the K series from Sony Ericsson would be happy to find out that there’s a new phone out there from this very line, with a much improved camera and a lot of other features meant to bring dominance on the competition scene.
Along the stereo Bluetooth, USB support and FM radio, there is the M2 card slot that brings extended functionality – the set comes with a 512MB card in the retail package and what’s most important is that the card slot can host an M2 but also an SD card at the same time. The phone is pretty much similar in size to the K810. The keypad has been redesigned in order to integrate the navigation keys into the D-pad (blue-rectangle in the photo) and the soft-keys are very small. Obviously the need to introduce such a large display pushed the navigational keys deeper into the keypad.
The video capabilities of the camera have reached quite a good and convincing level: 30 FPS at QVGA resolution. The sound is also in high quality as the phone has the very latest MP3 player software installed (version 3.0) and you can adjust the sound level or the frequencies (treble, bass) as you wish. Of course, as the other Sony Ericsson phones in the series, this one can be customized as well, with ringtones, wallpapers, screensavers and full featured themes in order to get a unique feeling. The stand-by time goes up to 400 hours and the talk time is 9 hours.
Price: $699 (MobileCityOnline.com)
