The Blinking Eye that Watches you

Greg Baltus from the Standard Robot Company, Pittsburgh, has managed to design and develop an innovative device consisting of a box with an eye in it that can capture your eyes and follow their moves.

It is an impressive and funny object that really seems to look in your eyes while you are watching it.
In the following movie you will see the OptoIsolator in action at Bitforms gallery, NYC, in the presentation that took place last December.

The blinking eye is built at the human scale and as it looks directly into your eyes it really gives you the impression it is living and is interested in you.
It blinks at exactly at one second after you.
