Stop the excessive dog barking!

Generally speaking, I love dogs very much. So much, actually, that one of my biggest regrets ever is the fact that my parents never allowed me to have one, because my father has a very peculiar fear when it comes to those cute barking creatures.
I would have loved to have one, but that’s that. I should move on, really! But if there’s one thing I hate about them is that they start barking, with no reason apparently, and there’s nothing for you to do about it.

It’s quite disturbing to hear a dog barking from the top of its lungs in the middle of the night when normal people are trying to sleep. This is why I find it quite difficult for one to keep a dog in an apartment. As a matter of fact, I’ve heard about some local rules that interdict people to have a dog in such a place.
So, if you need some tips about “how to learn your dog to stop barking”, then you should consider the Indoor Barking Dog Deterrent, which you can find on Hammacher Schlemmer.
“This patented device quickly and humanly restores peace and quiet to a home vexed by a dog’s excessive barking. No special collar is required; when a dog barks within 25’ of the unit, it emits a harmless ultrasonic tone, inaudible to humans, that startles the animal into silence.”
When hearing the sound, which is unpleasant, the dog makes a connection between that certain sound and its bark, so it will learn to curb its behaviour. If you want, for example, to correct other bad habits your dog has, you can activate manually the device. The Indoor Barking Dog Deterrent runs on a 9 volt battery which is more than enough for a two months operation. Lucky you, there’s an LED to give you the information you need about the battery life.
The device can be used only inside your home and it’s available at Hammacher Schlemmer for $49.95.
