Star Wars MP3 Player
Posted by: Bogdan Alex in Gadgets

This week was my Star Wars week. I managed to get my hands on the 1080p BOX collection and all that remains to be watched again is Episode VI. Coincidently, today I happen to stumble upon an interesting little player inspired by the famous double-trilogy. Check out the Star Wars MP3 player
Well, it’s not too futuristic as far as design is concerned. The first thing you might notice about this player is its substandard capacity of only 512MB. There’s no mention of any SD card slot, but the online retailer Forbidden Planet claims the reduced capacity is still enough to store 240 songs in WMA format or 120 songs in MP3 format. I reckon the 512MB won’t even stire the entire 6 album soundtrack of the double-trilogy. But hey, it has Darth Vader on the case!
You also get an integrated radio with the player, but that doesn’t really make up for the reduced storage capacity. A small monochrome LCD display is built into the player’s front. Again, there’s no info on how long would the supplied rechargeable batteries run on a full charge. Good thing they didn’t forget to include a USB cable.
You can pre-order the Star Wars MP3 player from the Forbidden Planet shop for £40 (€50/$80).
