One of the highly expected cell phones prepared for release this year has just arrived at Sprint. It’s the famous HTC Touch Pro with the cool TouchFLO 3D interface, Sprint’s high-speed Mobile Broadband connectivity and Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, as well as multiple business applications.

For those who don’t want to go for the T-Mobile HTC G1 Google Android phone, the HTC Touch Pro is a great alternative provided to Sprint’s data plans’ fans. The handset comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard for easy typing, expandable memory via a microSD card, business card reader via the built-in 3.2MP digital camera with camcorder functionality, and wireless transfers of up to 3.1Mbps in downlink and 1.8Mbps in uplink, which is essential when you need to browse the web and find the latest news quickly, or compose and send emails to multiple colleagues.

Internet navigation can be done on the 2.8-inch touch-sensitive display in the landscape mode as you turn the Sprint HTC Touch Pro sideways, thanks to the built-in accelerometer sensor. In the same mode you can watch video content from the Sprint TV service or YouTube.
Via the Sprint Music Store you can select and buy songs, while the TV out allows you to browse through the phone’s content including PowerPoint presentations, on a larger screen, of your TV.

Other features of the Sprint HTC Touch Pro include 512MB internal flash memory, 288MB RAM, up to 16GB external storage, GPS/AGPS, and 250 minutes of continuous talk time.
Sprint HTC Touch Pro is available at a price of $299.99 with a 2-year contract and a $100 mail-in rebate.

“People have already shown a tremendous initial response to the HTC Touch Diamond for Sprint, and we are pleased to also offer the HTC Touch Pro as another choice to customers,” said Jason Mackenzie, vice president for HTC America. “The HTC Touch Pro is the perfect device for those who demand the ease of use of TouchFLO 3D and the styling of the HTC Touch Diamond but also crave a more powerful mobile business experience.”
