Sony HDD DVD

Sony has launched a new range of versatile DVD recorders with a very large file storage capacity and some new features for this industry.
The HX/HXD range comes with a 120GB to 500GB hard drive, meaning space for about 1420 hours of TV program recording for the 500GB version.

An interesting feature for the HXD series is that it has a built-in analogue TV tuner for standard channels and a DVB-T tuner for digital broadcast.
These new products come with 2 news for 2008. First of all, the X-Pict Story feature allows you to create slideshows from your personal images stored, using only your remote control. More than that, when you’re watching the slideshow there is the possibility to listen to musical soundtrack also from your stored melodies.
The second new feature is that through USB you can transfer entire stored data from your Handycam’s hard disk (only those made by Sony) to the DVD recorder with direct digital dubbing, without losing the quality of your videos.
Featuring 1080p upscaling, this new range can be connected to your Sony Bravia TV through HDMI. Using Bravia Sync you can control the DVD recorder and other Sony devices through your TV remote. One for all, indeed a good usability of the remote!
It seems an interesting new range of products from Sony, with new and interesting features specially made to satisfy their clients’ needs and with only 0.75 watt power consumption, which makes them some good products to have in your homes.
