Son Hires Professional Killer to Murder his Mother after she Confiscated his PlayStation
Published by Sierra Monica B., on Nov 06 2007, in the categories: News
After 16-years-old Cory Ryder created so many problems and received only bad marks at school, his parents, Shannan and Joey Troiano decided to ground him for several weeks, banning him from watching TV and confiscating his PlayStation.

To get revenge, Cory Rider started to plan the murder of his own parents.
He decided to hire a professional killer and pay him to shoot his parents.
Fortunately his mother realized in time that something bad will happen and arranged an undercover plan involving a police man pretending to be a hitman.
Cory Rider met the “hitman†in a hotel room and after establishing that the killer will receive the stepfather’s new pickup truck, he encouraged the man telling him that “Two bullets is all it takes.â€Now, Cory is not admitting he said that, but his mother is scared to death and is expected to testify as a witness for the prosecution.

It's obviously the fault of violent video games. Violence begets violence as any 5 year old can see. Sims for everybody!

Yes! Lets blame the games, not the parents who are there to teach right from wrong. My son is 17 and he and I have played violent games before, but as a parent, it's my job to sit him down and make sure he knows the difference between "pretend" and real". My son is a B student ,but more importantly, has a good set of values that my wife and I have taught him. Values, right from wrong, love and caring and spending "quality time" with your children.

That's fucked up. The parents could have taught the little bastard better than that. Over a lousy playstation for crying out loud.

Each of us has a different way of perceiving things surrounding us and sometimes it's useless for parents to teach their kids to distinguish right from wrong. Some children misinterpret life lessons and create wrong principles.

As anyone can plainly see, this is a great case for child freedoms.
No child should be without video games. Ever.

Yes blame video game, and if there wasn't video game then blame violent movies/tv , and if there wasn't that let blame the music industry, and if not even that then blame violent books and stories, blame everything else but the thing that have the most direct impact on the child " the parent ".

The kid needs some fucking therapy. The parent needs to learn how to limit her child so he's not disconnected from reality and learn which games are right for her son. Jack Thompson needs to shut the fuck up and realize games don't make kids violent , lack of parenting and not knowing what right and wrong are , makes kids more prone to resorting to violence.

that's freaking absurd. The kid is obviously warped if he's going to kill his parents over his playstation...

The problem is that the kid was too attached to his games and not enough to his own family. You have to sometimes put the controller down and just go talk to your family about anything. Its not that the games are the problem, its that this kid was allowed to obsess over them and put them before his family.

its not the games fault, this kid obviously had a lot of issues beforehand
maybe i read this part wrong, but im curious... why does the kid have a different last name (Ryder) to both of his parents (Troiano)?

This kid is an idiot plain and simple. Flat out crazy, obsessed. The parents are at fault. When your kid he thinks he can "kill" you and be fine in life or he even takes it close to planning its time to actually be "nice" to him and spend "family time" and teach him something i like to call "values and morales". What a shock! I could picture the conversation with the "assasin."
So why are you doing this.
I am a retard who thinks my parents are evil and i know that i most have either serious mental issues or the worst freaking parents in the entire history of mankind and alienkind if aliens exist. You wanna hear wait i got i my iq test. I got a zero. Some person named a box of christmas decorations did better though. Isnt zero a fancy way of saying good just like the saying F***ing job

So many things affect the circumstances that, in my opinion, laying the blame on just one is unfounded. Videogames alone can't cause something like this, for since the beginning of time, in every form of media, violence has been shown the children.
People who blame everything on videogames are just looking for a scapegoat.

Right, argento, and not only in the media. We read about encouraged violent acts even when we were little, in children books, not to mention the examples in the bible and so on...
