SkiErg for Nordic skiers

I would really like to say that I’m one of those people who’d kill for an hour of free time in order to dedicate to working out. I don’t like to exercise on a regular basis, even if I am aware of the great importance that sports has regarding to our health. A couple of years ago I found it very relaxing to go jogging every single morning of my life, before going to school, but now I’m probably lazier than ever.

For those who don’t care about the weather outside and who think that every day is good if you want to keep your good shape, here you have the Concept2 SkiErg for Nordic Ski Training. This way, skiers will have a brand new way to practice without snow. The device helps them obtain the strength and endurance they need.
“We first played with the idea of making ski training equipment in 1982, using parts from the Model A Indoor Rower”, said Founder Dick Dreissigacker, one of the two brothers that founded the Vermont-based company. In addition, he said that “We have fine-tuned our designs for skiing, and are excited to bring this technology to skiers”.
The SkiErg comes with a Performance Monitor, which gives the skier the information he needs concerning the output, the progress and the comparisons with others. Just like the designers said, the information is not only accurate, but also comparable.
The SkiErg is available for purchase for a retail price of $730 and is available in two different versions: either a wall-mounted unit or it comes with a floor stand that is optional ($200 plus shipping).
