Samsung Saga - New Verizon Wireless Phone

Among the new bunch of cell phones launched by Samsung lately we find also the Samsung Saga, an interesting smartphone available in cool blue and featuring touchscreen interface, in addition to the QWERTY keyboard.
The new Verizon Wireless phone can be purchased from the telecommunication company and users will have the chance to use several messaging capabilities and advanced multimedia functions, looking at a large enough 2.25-inch display.
QWERTY keypads are integrated usually for enhancing the texting experience and increase productivity on the go. It is preferred by business users who need a reliable all-in-one gadget with high-end features.
In Samsung Saga’s case the handset comes also with quad-band support for worldwide use, optical mouse capability, Wi-Fi connectivity, the Opera mobile Internet browser, and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system, which includes multiple useful applications such as Microsoft Office Mobile Suite for document management like Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Microsoft Active Sync 4.5 and Windows Mobile Device Center for Vista.
With the built-in 2-megapixel digital camera you can take pictures on the go during nigh using the NightShot mode, or record videos, while the microSD slot supports external memory storage for your media, of up to 16GB.
The Bluetooth technology is another key element that enables short-range wireless transfers between Samsung Saga and other compatible devices. In addition, the supported profiles of this technology allow for stereo headsets connectivity, handsfree calls, object push, basic print and human interface device.
Microsoft developed the Voice Command functionality, encountered also in the new Verizon Wireless phone, for speech recognition.
Other features of the model include customizable user interface, voice memo, multimedia player and TTY-capable.
It measures 2.44 x 4.88 x 0.53 inches at 4.59 ounces and is available at a price of $199.99 with a 2-year contract and a $70 mail-in rebate.
