Ring Exchanges Personal Information via Handshake

Ring Exchanges Personal Information via Handshake

It is called Handshake, it is a concept and was awarded in 2007 as the Best of the Best Red Dot Design Concept in the Interaction & Communication section.
Its designers are Hideaki Matsui, Dong Ho Yun and Jea Wan Park, three brilliant men that were able to create one of the most innovative concepts of the moment, consisting of a special device in the shape of a ring, capable of exchanging personal information of the wearers while they shake hands.

People use to shake hands when they meet, especially business people, and a ring is a discrete jewel worn by most of us every day, so this way of information exchange is the smartest, don't you think?
It i enough for two rings to get close to each other to become functional and start transferring the data.
One ring would be capable of storing the information from more people and on the special card the user would see all the data displayed for each person.

The rings wouldn't need any plug device for power because its source would be the human temperature.

Men are shaking hands when they meet but as we all know, women instead, are kissing one another's cheek, so we hope that soon three brilliant women designers will come out with a concept designed for women.
