Put me in, coach!

These are four words that you won’t ever have to hear from your players, or at least not as long as you will be thinking and imagining your strategies by using the E-Ink Electronic Coach Playboard.

Created from scratch by designer Gordon Yeh for Iota Creations and presented by the guys over Yanko Design, the device is a game clipboard that is based on a very intuitive idea, though complicated as far as the implementation is concerned: the E-Ink technology.

You have probably heard lots of things about this technology, just like I did, and what I know so far is that the E-Ink is so very new, developed in the past couple of years, that is expected to become widely spread in the near future.

The presence of the E-Ink technology within the gane clipboard is justified by the designer’s purpose to ensure a longer battery life. Using this clipboard can help coaches from all over the world to draw the plays, to sketch their winning strategies, to examine all sorts of images and then analyze them, for a wide variety of games, such as baseball, basketball, football, soccer and so on.

There are some pre-loaded templates of each field or court that you might need and the so-called animation feature that helps the coach to replay the directions and then rehearse them up until they get close to perfection.

Being just a concept, the E-Ink Electronic Coach Clipboard isn’t available for purchase right now, and to be true, I don’t know if it ever hits the market. So, put me in, coach, would you? Put me in, I said!
