I had an awful dream last night about two guys that I found inside my house when coming back from a walk in the park. It was a nightmare, actually, because when I saw they had my brother, I stubbed one of those guys having no mercy and no fear, as a matter of fact. I threatened both of them with such a gesture, but they laughed at me as if I was telling a joke. And I showed them I wasn’t kidding.




In real life, I like to believe that I wouldn’t be able of such a reaction, but everyone says you can never know. When feeling under pressure, when feeling scared, the brain has no logic whatsoever. It acts according to the way it seems better in order to establish the order.



Anyway, I woke up as frightened as I was in the dream, thinking about a way to render the entrance in my house more difficult than it already is. At least to strangers, of course.




And here I have a solution to my problem: the Numlock Handle, which isn’t based on a key, as we are all accustomed to. It’s a design concept that gives all of those who are scared, just like me, a mechanical lock. And it also helps us say goodbye to the keys, which is another advantage, as many of use have problems when it comes to remembering where in earth they’ve lost them.




Designed by Jaeseok Han, this door handle comes with a dial-lock based on numbers that is able to re-shuffle and then to lock itself whenever the entry is successful. Pretty neat, right?
