If you are looking to buy an affordable Panasonic digital camera, the Panasonic ZX1 is a great idea. This is a super compact digital camera produced by this Japanese manufacturer. It comes with a 12.1 mp sensor and 8X optical zoom, all that in a very small chassis.

With the 25-200 meter lens, this Panasonic digital camera is capable of taking incredible pictures of landscaped and even other points of interest which are further away, giving the user a maximum flexibility. This is all possible thanks to the 0.33 mm lens. On the back side of the camera you can spot a 2.7 inch display which has a resolution of 230.000 pixels. This is below the category average since other similar cameras come with a display which has a 460.000 pixels resolution. Even so, the display does a great job at showing you the pictures you took as the images are clear, bright and with good details. The Panasonic ZX1 has no option for manual settings so people that like to mess around and personalize the features of their digital camera.

The Scene mode allows you select the suitable scenery which is compatible to the one you wish to take pictures of. There is also the auto option which works just fine and could generate the best results. But the most important chapter of all is the quality of the photos taken. If you are wondering whether to buy this digital camera or not, you should know that image quality is impeccable. In most tests, the colors have been accurately reproduced and the resulted pictures where clears even with a maximum zoom. This is something that not all digital cameras can brag about. Not only will you be able to take decent quality pictures, but this digital camera can also be used to record videos. The maximum resolution of these videos is 1280 x 720 pixels and the speed is 30 frames per second.

Even when you are dealing with difficult light conditions, such as powerful sun and heavy shadows, the images are still of good quality. Unfortunately, this Panasonic digital camera is not that great when it comes to ISO settings and starting with ISO 400, you are going to start noticing the noise. Even if it does come with some minor flaws, this Panasonic Lumix is still a good camera for any user which is not that passionate about photography and likes to own a regular camera which is capable of taking good photos on holidays. The camera is fast, easy to use and all you have to do to take the perfect picture is to press the shooting button. If you want to buy or gift this camera and you are really passionate about photography, this camera does not come with the most appropriate settings for you to mess around with. The menu is pretty basic and will not satisfy just any digital camera user. You do need a considerable number of settings for you to transform your visions into the perfect picture.
