On time, just another wrist watch phone
Posted by: Maria Mihale in Gadgets, mobile phones

It seems that people are more and more interested in wrist phones, so designers from all over the world and cell phones manufacturers are keen on meeting their expectations. This is the reason why the market is invaded by such concepts. Maybe “invaded†isn’t the right word to use, because most of these devices are just in the concept phase. Maybe “threatened†is more appropriate.

In the given context, here we have another wrist watch phone that is designed to compete with the LG G910, the wrist phone that was announced to hit the European market via Orange.
Because the attempts were so far unsuccessful, only LG managing to actually do something in this area, designer Pedro Gomes wants to solve the problem somehow. Because, so that you know, your wrist isn’t a soulless friend and it would really like to have something special to adorn it.

Now, here’s what the concept is all about. The idea is to have a secondary LCD display attached to a bracelet that is able to tell you the time and to act like a phone. Whenever someone gives you a call, the bracelet has two options to choose from: it either rings or vibrates. Or both. And when the call comes to its end, the LCD screen goes back to the second thing it does best: telling time. Because the display is touch-enabled, you can accept or reject the calls you receive by only using the bracelet.

In addition, the wrist watch phone will be equipped with a Bluetooth headset, also provided with a touch-enabled LCD display.
Great idea, too bad it’s just a concept.
