Nikon D300 Slr Digital Camera

It is difficult to write a short review about the Nikon D3000 digital SLR camera as there are a lot of things to be said about this best selling DSLR. Of course that many of you are going to wonder what does this Nikon D3000 digital SLR camera have to offer compared to the ton of other similar cameras that can be found on the market.
This 10.74 MP camera features the DX format CCD sensor and it comes with a 3 inch fixed monitor. It also features an image sensor cleaning and a 72 thumbnails plus calendar view in the playback mode. It has 3 fps continuous shooting. It has a 100 – 1600 ISO range and this camera is often compared to the D5000. But what are the differences between these 2 cameras? The D500 has a 12.3 MP sensor and if the D3000 has a fixed LCD screen, the D500 comes with a swivel screen. The D3000 does not feature live view but the D5000 does. The D5000 also comes with Movie Mode, exposure bracketing, 4 fps of continuous shooting (the D3000 comes with only 3 frames per second) and automatic correction for lateral chromatic aberration.

Whenever they are looking to buy a product, people tend to compare one digital camera to another and this goes for the Nikon D3000 digital SLR camera as well. Compared to the D5000, the LCD display of the D3000 is a bit larger as it measures 3 inches in diagonal. The resolution of this display is 230,000 dots or pixels. even if some people may think this resolution is quite low, the image quality displayed on this LCD is clear and very bright. You will notice the difference from the better and more expensive cameras once you start zooming in on your pictures. thanks to the SD compartment, you can start adding up more memory to your Nikon D3000 digital SLR camera as I’m sure you want to take an awful lot of pictures without having to download the old ones all the time.

As for the connections, you only have a mini USB plus a video out. There is no PC socket for the external flash and you don’t get a HDMI port either. The performance of a digital camera is very important no matter how much money you end up paying for this gadget. Compare to the older DSLRs, the D3000 is very fast and also very responsive. With the Active D-Lighting off features, the pictures you take will be shown on the display in a matter of half a second. Battery life is also a very important aspect when it comes to a digital camera. The Nikon D3000 digital SLR camera has a battery with an average performance. On a full charge, you can use the camera to shoot about 500 pictures but there are ways of extending the battery life. For instance, I have a lot of friends that after taking a picture, they like to see it on the LCD display and this eats up some of the battery’s life.
