This new compact digital camera announced by Nikon yesterday introduces a 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD display with an intuitive user interface, and a stylish design available in several cool colors - Espresso Black, Arctic White, Burgundy, Champagne Pink, Platinum Bronze and Crimson Red.
Nikon COOLPIX S60 comes also with several new shooting modes, while the buttons on the margins are in charge with power on/off and shutter releasing.

"We are very excited to introduce the COOLPIX S60," said Bill Giordano, general manager marketing, COOLPIX for Nikon. "When consumers asked for a bigger LCD screen, we listened and created a camera that not only takes great pictures, but is extremely fun to use as well."
The main new features that the new camera model brings with include 10MP resolution for 16 x 20 inches pictures, 5x optical zoom, NIKKOR Glass Lens, EXPEED Image Processing, Optical VR Image Stabilization, customizable touch panel display with 3 Home displays, the possibility to write on photos using the stylus, retouch function with 5 pen colors to sttach stamps and write memos, HD Pictmotion Slide Shows to create picture slideshows with music on the background, Scene Auto Selector, Smile Shutter and Blink Warning that lets you know if the subject is blinking his/her eyes, ISO 3200 sensitivity, In-Camera Red-Eye Fix that finds all instances of red eyes, Face Priority AF to focus on up to 12 faces in a group portrait, D-Lighting that enhances pictures with shadows, 17 scene modes, and High Quality TV Movies with Sound.

The 17 scene modes alow you to choose from Handwritten Memo, Food, Portrait, Landscape, Sports, Night Portrait, Party/Indoor, Beach/Snow, Sunset, Dusk/Dawn, Night Landscape, Close-up, Panorama Assist, Museum, Fireworks Show, Copy and Back Light modes.
The cool digital camera comes in September at a suggested retail price of $349.95.
