New Cool Cell Phone in Town: Sony Ericsson W980

Wanna know another cool cell phone that’s among the hottest of the moment? Let me present you the Sony Ericsson W980.
With an impressive design in a clamshell style and coming from the developer of mobile phones with longest operating times, W980 brings music recognition technology, RSS feed reader, FM radio, an advanced music player and a sexy 2.2-inch touchscreen display of 256K colors.
It has 3G HSDPA 2100 high-speed connectivity to enable 3.6Mbps wireless transfer speeds, so you can download wallpapers and screensavers for customization, music and lots of other things for a great entertainment experience.

Announced in February and released this summer, the handset offers a built-in 3.15MP digital camera with video recording and 2048 x 1536 picture resolution, for high-quality clear photos taken on the go, while the secondary camera allows you to make video calls. There is also a secondary external display with 256K colors and a smaller resolution of 176 x 176 pixels, on which you can check the time, date, and missed calls or unread messages.

The new Sony Ericsson cellular phone measures 92 x 46 x 16.9 mm at 100 grams and integrates stereo speakers for the MP3 player, while the Li-Po 930 mAh battery increases the playback time up to 20 hours.
The cell phone comes with 8GB shared memory and no card slot to expand the storage capacity, but other features which are very useful and handy compensate for that. These include Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, USB 2.0 for PC connectivity, email, Instant Messaging, HTML browser, Java, TrackID music recognition, Shake control, Walkman player, voice memo and picture editor.

It is available in Piano Black, Opera Brown and Violin Red with up to 270 hours of standby and no less than 9 hours of continuous talk time.

At Sony Ericsson online store in UK it is available SIM free at about $680, or £399.99.
