Posted by: Sierra Monica B. in Gadgets

P7N SLI Platinum and P7N Diamond are the latest motherboards launched by Micro-Star International to support the 45nm Intel CPUs.
SLI Platinum uses an nForce 750i chipset with 3-way SLI technology support, while Diamond comes with the nForce 780i chipset.
MSI applied the Circu-Pipe design to both models for reducing the chipset’s temperatures, although each of these is dedicated to a different market sector.
According to MSI's press release, the second feature is MOSFET and is meant to improve the system’s stability and product life.

From the same press release, we have extracted the following details:
P7N Diamond comes with support for Intel Core 2 Extreme, Quad and Duo processor architectures, with 1333MHz FSB.
The dual-channel DDR2 1066/800/667 memory is also supported by both models, but regarding the VGA, P7N Diamond has four PCI Express x16 slots to support Nvidia 3-way SLI x16 (PCIe 2.0), while P7N SLI Platinum has three PCI Express x16 slots support Nvidia SLI x8 (PCIe 2.0).
