The V8 is a Motorola Razor cell phone with a beautiful blue color and quite an elegant an attractive design. With a glossy exterior and a metal finish, the Razor (also known as the Razr) V8 measures 4.05 x 2.08 x 0.46 inches in dimensions and 4.1 ounces in weight. This Motorola Razor cell phone has a big external display which shows the caller ID and it features the camera viewfinder for taking self portraits. Too bad that the camera cannot be activated when the phone is closed. You have to open the phone first in order to activate the camera and then close it to take the portrait. You cannot activate the music player either when the lid is closed.





The volume rocker can be used to change the phone’s profiles. The smart key can be used to lock the external controls. The camera is located above the external display and the USB port is located on the left spine. The speaker is located on the back side of the phone. The interior display measures 2.2 inches and it has a native resolution of 320 x 240 pixels with 262,000 colors. The shortcut keys are fully customizable and you can use all four of them to open different applications. The smart key can be pressed to open the music player. There are only 2 dedicated keys for the internet browser and the back button. The icons on this cell phone are nice even if they seem pretty chaotic at times.

The phonebook of the Razr V8 supports five different numbers for each phonebook entry. You can also add 2 different e-mail addresses, 2 street addresses and different notes. If you divide the people in your agenda into caller groups, you can assign different tones and choose from the 32 polyphonic ones included in the cell phone’s memory. Other features that are included in this cell phone are the vibration mode, the voice memo recorder, the world clock, the alarm clock, the calendar, the calculator and even a notepad. You get an integrated Bluetooth and USB mass storage. The included 2 megapixel camera comes in four different resolutions, the smallest being 240 x 320 and the biggest one – 1200 x 1600 pixels. If you are interesting in the editing features, know that this camera has 6 color effects, a self timer, six different frames, 8x zoom and 5 different shutter sounds. You can record videos as long as the internal memory allows you to store them. This cell phone comes with 2 GB of memory.



The speaker of the Motorola Razr V8 is great when it comes to listening to music. The sound output is decent and so is the quality. When it comes to the battery life, this cell phone manages to handle 8.3 hours of conversations and about 11 days in standby. This performance is pretty amazing as I have never had a cell phone that could last 11 days even in standby. The price of this cell phone is somewhere around $216.
