MOTO W233 Renew Among Environmentally Friendly Products at CES

Meet MOTO W233 Renew, the world’s first cell phone made of recycled water bottles! While its housing is made entirely of plastic water bottles, the handset is the first carbon neutral model introduced on the market and the package is made of 100% recycled paper.

It doesn’t sacrifice basic technology elements and comes with CrystalTalk for clear conversations, multimedia messaging functionalities, dual-band support, 2GB removable memory, up to 9 hours of continuous talk time, a standby of 18 days, MP3 player, GPRS Class 10, miniUSB port, 500 SMS storage capacity, a 4-way navigation key and dedicated music keys.

These are the key features of the new Motorola MOTO W233 Renew and unfortunately we didn’t find any information on a built-in digital camera or Internet browsing capabilities. It probably doesn’t feature these. Also, Motorola didn’t publish any clues about the suggested retail price of the handset, but we’ll surely find out more during the Customer Electronics Show 2009.
One thing is clear – the Motorola MOTO W233 Renew cell phone will be available first via T-Mobile in the United States.

“Today, natural resources, energy and time are more precious than ever before,” said Jeremy Dale, corporate vice president, global marketing, Motorola Mobile Devices. “From the product’s design, to the packaging to our partnership with Carbonfund.org, we wanted to ensure that this device makes the right impact with consumers and the environment.”
