The digital cameras have been on the market for some time now. Apart from this, they were not the only cameras that one could use and not the first cameras ever. They were an addition to the analogue cameras that existed since the early ages.

But were better than those as the digital cameras add a plus to what the limited analogue cameras possibilities used to offer one. while the analogue ones did not offer one the possibility of seeing the picture whole taking nor even of making as many photos as one may want. If one will purchase an analogue camera instead of a digital camera, one will surely not be aware of what the digital cameras are able to do.

In 1928 the Minolta Company was founded. It was known as Minolta Co., Ltd and it actually represents one of the biggest manufacturers of cameras, their accessories, photocopies and fax machines. Until the 2003 year, the Minolta Inc actioned by itself. Then, in 2003 it merged with Konica Corporation and created the Konica Minolta company. Then in the year 2006, it decided to leave the camera and the photo business and sell a part of their SLR business to Sony. That was made as the beginning of their intention of moving away from the cameras and the photographic film. Anyhow, Minolta did not always created just Minolta SLR digital camera, it created the first digital camera in 1958, that was named Minolta SR-2. What made this camera be a SLR and the others were not SLRs? It used sleeve bushing instead of bearings on its focal plane. At first they lacked important features such as motor drive, removable pentaprism and as well back, they were attractive due to their low prices and very high quality optics. The first ever successful autofocus SLR was introduced with the Maxxum series. Few of the oldest Minolta SLR digital cameras were Minolta XD-11, Minolta SR-T303, Minolta XG-1, Minolta X-700.

As the two companies, the Minolta and the Konika emerged, the new company known as Konika Minolta Ltd began creating their Maxxum or Dynax digital cameras, that did not use ay concept, but it actually improved their design. Therefore, they rather have the same design while they as well have a low price. The first of their cameras was Maxxum 4, than the Maxxum 7 and 9 came on the market. These last two, were the last attempts that Minolta ever did in order that they could get to the desired sales. Anyhow, as they could not get to what they needed, they were sold until the year 2006, when the entire production of the cameras was ceased.

In 1995 the first digital SLR system that Minolta has announced was known as RD – 175, as it had a 1.75 megapixels camera. This company was one of the largest to launch a digital SLR camera that contained an AF mount. Anyhow, what they actually did proved to be useless as they could not face the force that the Nikon and the Canon brought with them. While the last two succeeded on the market this Konica - Minolta system did not.

Even though the Minolta cameras are no longer produced, if you are a keen lover of Konica and Minolta cameras, you can choose from the latest Minolta Konika cameras that were produced on the lately part of it. You will receive clear photos every time you use any of the Minolta cameras. One can choose from the Minolta Maxxum 7D or 5D. even though they did not have such a big importance on the market the report between the price and the quality is very good.
