The winner of Red Dot Design Concept Award 2007, the Moldable Mouse, was designed by Lite-On Technology, P&C Design Center, as a lightweight and non-toxic modeling clay device covered with nylon and polyurethane to have molding capabilities so users can change its shape easily with their hands.
According the team of designers, there is no mouse on the market as ergonomic as the Moldable Mouse concept, which is able to adapt so perfect to the human’s hand having a self-retaining shape.
The mouse in the image has click buttons and touch-sensitive scroll pad, but not as standard mice have, but as stickers based on the Radio Frequency Identification Device technology so they can easily be moved anywhere on the mouse for the best ergonomics enhanced also by the silk touch of the polyurethane blend fabric that comes in different color options.
At the base, it has full-recyclable PC/ABS plastic blend that houses the Printed Circuit Board, the laser optics and the batteries.
Have you seen a mouse more innovative than this one presented?

sweet... does it already exist? or just a concept?
It is an awarded concept recognized as possible product with possible applications so it is more than concept. I hope someone will invest in it soon.
Cool gadget. I've never think of it!
It's great to have such talented designers among us. :)
What\'s the dpi though?
300 million
Let me contact Lite-On and i will be back with an answer.
300 million dpi
It seems like a really cool concept but if it's moldable how does it know when to stop molding? what if you're in the middle of a game one day and all of a sudden u squish it too hard and it starts molding?
Idk, just seems like it would happen but I'm sure they'll have something to counteract it.
Great concept
It should not be very flexible, but just a bit. Not like a gum, just to mold on your hand.....i think.
this is why the world hates us.
That is very cool, should help resolve RSI problems anyway
