iRiver Spinn

So, you’re still praising that iPod player? Even if there are better multimedia players, you just can’t let go of that Apple player, as if it had already become a part of you (you know… that ‘i’ in the iPod reflects your personality, sort of). Are you sure that’s the best your ego can get from an iconic device? You might want to reconsider things a bit. Sure, the Apple products feel good and look sleek, but do they really offer the quality that you need? After all, using a Mac sets you apart from the masses, but does it make you smarter? Well now… maybe I’m not in the position to form opinions, but do take a look at what the other manufacturers are offering. Take for example the latest player from iRiver (what, some more ‘i’?).

iRiver is preparing to launch the new Spinn player, a slim device that packs in a lot of features. You get an interesting Spinn System Toggle Wheel, the usual music and video playback, photo browsing, plus an FM Tuner, recording capabilities, DMB, Flash 2.0 support, a Text Viewer, and an e-Dictionary. The Spinn will come in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB versions and will also feature a 3.2-inch TFT-LCD Screen and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, not to mention it is capable of displaying video content at 30 frames per second in the MPEG4 Format.

The Spinn is expected to hit the market in August this year, but there’s no info on prices for the moment.
