Google Thinks in Microblogging

Google is concentrating on a new operating platform for mobiles which will simplify the way people are accessing Google services while being away from their computers.

Google Thinks in Microblogging

For the moment, the company bought Finnish startup Jaiku, a technology that will allow mobile phone users send messages regarding their location and what they are doing in that moment.
Jaiku is in strong relationship with the concept of microblogging, promoted also by San Francisco-based Twitter startup, which consists of posting ideas in short words, on a personal blog, through instant messaging or mobile phone.

On the Jiku’s website, the company posted the message:

“Wonderful Jaiku users,
Exciting news, Jaiku is joining Google!
While it’s too soon to comment on specific plans, we look forward to working with our new friends at Google over the coming months to expand in ways we hope you'll find interesting and useful. Our engineers are excited to be working together and enthusiastic developers lead to great innovation. We look forward to accomplishing great things together. In order to focus on innovation instead of scaling, we have decided to close new user sign-ups for now.
But fear not, all our Jaiku services will stay running the way you are used to and you will be able to invite your friends to Jaiku. We have put together a quick Q&A about the acquisition.
Jyri Engeström and Petteri Koponen, Jaiku Founders”

Google also had posted the news on the Official Google Blog:

"We wish a hearty Google welcome to Jaiku, and are looking forward to working together on new and innovative ways of keeping people connected."

Furthermore, the terms of the acquisition have not yet been disclosed.
