The Energy Ribbed Elliptical Surrounds technology is the one that makes from ESW-M6 power bass subwoofer one of the 2009 Innovations honoree in the home theater speakers category of the Consumer Electronics Show 2009.
Honorees were chosen among products featuring best designs and engineering in addition to look, value and novel characteristics.
Energy ESW-M6 is a black mini power bass subwoofer that caught the attention of the Consumer Electronics Association and the Industrial Designers Society of America, a group of judges formed by industrial designers, engineers and trade journalists. The 8-inch mini cube features a 6.5-inch anodized aluminum cone woofer and dual 6.5-inch passive radiators, which enables an outstanding bass response, dissipating driver and amplifier heat.

The technology mentioned earlier permits drivers to work with lower distortion and higher output, when compared with other similar subwoofers. Rated at 800 Watts the sound gadget integrates a protection circuit that eliminates distortion, and is covered in 7 layers of polyurethane sanded for reaching a high level of stylish shine.
It is available in the United States at a starting price of $600, which covers other features such as 50Hz–200Hz variable low-pass filter with bypass mode, 0-360 degree variable phase control for integration with other speakers, and Auto Power for turning the power bass subwoofer On or Off automatically as it feels the presence of bass signals in the songs.

“Even with the incredibly compact size of the woofers and passive radiators, the deep bass sound from this sub is comparable to much larger units,†said Ben Burko, Energy product manager. “Plus, it provides placement options that we’ve never offered before.â€
