Choosing a good digital camera Kodak can be difficult if we consider the huge number of model that this manufacturer has released on the market. Even so, we are happy to have a lot of models to choose from and Kodak has taken care of every customer segment in particular. This is why Kodak digital cameras come in all shapes, colors, sizes and prices and their specs are different according to the total value of such a gadget.
We have looked into a digital camera Kodak called the Kodak EasyShare Z650 which is priced at around $350 and it comes with acceptable components that make is a good choice when you are not too picky about the pictures that you take. Sure, the Kodak EasyShare Z650 is not going to be useful to professionals but for regular users like you and me, it might just be the next best thing.
The Kodak EasyShare Z650 comes with a 10X optical zoom, f/2.8-to-f/3.7, 38mm-to-380mm lens that does not feature image stabilization. The camera comes with special dedicated buttons for the macro and landscape mode, the flash, the shutter button plus the on and off switch are located on the top side of the camera. Every other important control is located on the back side of the camera. There you will find the model dial with a 5 way joystick right in its middle. According to the mode which you choose, this joystick is going to let you change the camera setting displayed on the LCD. Some of the settings you can mess with are aperture, exposure compensation, shutter speed and ISO. When it comes to metering options you get center weighted, multi pattern and spot. The focus can be set to full auto, center-spot or multi-zone but there is no option for manual focus.

The sensitivity ranges of the Kodak EasyShare Z650 are from ISO 80 and right up to ISO 400. You can use this digital camera to record videos as well. The video capture mode can shoot at 11 frames per second for a 640 x 480 pixels resolution or at 20 frames per second at 320 x 240 pixels resolution. When it comes to the speed of the actions performed with a digital camera, you will discover that this Kodak model is quite slow. It takes about 3.6 seconds between the moment when you start the camera and the moment when you can take your first picture.

If flash is disabled, you have to wait 3.6 seconds between shooting 2 pictures. If the flash in on, it takes about 3.9 seconds. Shutter lag was about 0.4 seconds with the high contrast pattern. When it came to continuous shooting, the VGA size was captures at 5 fps which is slowed down at 2.5 fps when you capture 6.1 mp images. Overall, the Kodak EasyShare Z650 seems like a decent digital camera to own, especially if you wish to take regular pictures and not professional ones. It does not come with the best features ever seen on a digital camera but the ones that do come are bound to satisfy the regular users.
