It appeared a few years ago and everybody was crazy about them, but it probably is still considered one of the funniest desktop gadgets, and i am referring at Cube World, the set of collectible cubes that creates an interactive block.
There are several series available with various characters you can collect, each living in its own cube.
The idea is simple: you gather cubes and stick them together via magnets to see how the characters interact with each other and enter in the other cubes, meeting the other characters.



They like to do lots of things and to make the guys appear in cubes you have to press the On button. You can also play with one character only thanks to the interactive motion sensors which allow you to tumble the character around the cube or you could press the Game Mode button and start the game based on scores.

One character likes to play with his stick, another one with his ball, dog, or knows how to do rope tricks.
Also, each cube has a Sound button, On/Game button, a High Score button and the Reset button, while additional actions include a Sleep Mode when the character falls asleep after 4 minutes of inactivity, and the interaction mode when you stick multiple cubes together on horizontal or vertical.
