Fingerprint recognition sensors enabled in laptop computer and introduced in touchscreen smartphones recently allow only the right user to access the data stored on the gadget. This is very useful for protecting your storage on portable computers and one of the best solutions comes from AuthenTec, a company specialized in this type of modules. It has just announced that the AES1510 fingerprint sensor comes in the Coolpad 9000, an advanced cell phone with touchscreen, running with the Windows CE 6.0 operating system, developed by the Chinese company called YuLong.

Like the phone’s display, the integrated fingerprint sensor is touch-sensitive and in order to receive access you need to move your finger over the sensor’s location.
YuLong Coolpad 9000 is a personal digital assistant featuring several high-end functionalities packed in a single unit, such as GPS, web browser, multimedia player, email, and a main built-in 3MP digital camera.

It is a dual-camera phone that provides video recording capability and Office suite application for document management, including PowerPoint for presentations, Word and Excel tables.
All tasks can be performed via the touch-sensitive user interface called Power of Touch, on the 4.3-inch large LCD display, for up to many hours, thanks to the Lithium-Ion battery powering the handset.

“We designed our Coolpad 9000 for today’s busy consumer and business person who wants to stay connected via a mobile phone, yet still have access to e-mail, the web and their favorite Windows programs. With the amount of information and access the Coolpad 9000 provides, we wanted to be sure to offer users a convenient security solution, which is why we chose the proven AuthenTec AES1510 fingerprint sensor as a value-added feature,” said Dongkai Liu, Special Assistant to YuLong’s President. ”YuLong will extend R&D and product development efforts to introduce a series of such solutions and lead the market toward the new fingerprint-enabled feature.“
