Coolest Playing Cards Ever
Posted by: Adina in Games, design

Whether you are at home, at a picnic, at a barbecue, out camping or just need something to do on a rainy Sunday afternoon, card playing is always a nice and interactive option. Card playing is one of the oldest ways of entertainment, before Monopoly and Family Feud.
The people who are truly passionate about the art of playing games are also playing card collectors because it’s nice to have around the house some of the craziest, most original and funny playing card ever seen. We have managed to gather some of the coolest playing cards ever so if you are a collector, this article may just be of interest to you. The Hello Kitty Golden playing cards cost about $4930 because every card in the deck contains 0.73 g of pure gold. The cards are beautiful, even if we didn’t expect to see a golden Hello Kitty on a set of playing cards. The cards are plastic laminated and they are made by Mitsubishi Material, in Japan.

Some of the coolest playing cards ever are made are the Stainless Steel Playing Cards. This deck costs $313 and it could be a bit dangerous if you had a bad tempered friend that starts throwing cards around whenever he loses. I’m really curious about the weight of this desk as the cards are literally etched into metal. They have this serious and mysterious dark gray aspect with a finish that reminds us of certain laptop models.

The Jail Inmates playing cards are cool… and somewhat strange. Who would want to read about people that have been murdered in unsolved cases? Every card shows the story, plus the name and picture of people murdered in cases which are 13 decades old. This whole Inmate playing cards concept was invented by the Sheriff of Aladema County which though of this as a way to gather some hints about these cases which have not been solved.

If you are tired of the same old rectangular aspect of playing cards, someone has already thought about this problem. This is why you can now buy round cards, which are really funny and a bit difficult to hold in your hands. They look just like biscuits and those colored dots on the back are really cute.

The last item for the day is the Pin-up playing cards deck. You know, pin-up girls are those models that have tons of pictures seen as pop culture. These girls had photos which appeared in calendars, posters, magazines, paintings and now they are even on playing cards decks. The girls are glamorous and beautiful and this reminds us of one of Dante’s deadly sins (was that lust?). Playing cards are sure when of my favorite items to collect but I never imagined I could have to pay almost $5000 for a Hello Kitty deck. Well, just like people pay a lot of money for coins and stamps and other collectible stuff, why shouldn’t we start collecting such beautiful card decks which also bring us a lot of fun.
