Coolest Car Ever

By our opinion, the coolest car ever is not necessarily a modern car, is a car witch survived trough time. I think you will get my point when I will tell to think about Chevrolet Corvette. This car was a phenomenon when showed on the market.
First model appeared in 1953 and it was designed by Harley Earl. It was the first generation from all six produced so far by General Motors, named C1 (first) trough C6 ( the last).

Chevrolet Corvette C2 was produced between 1963 and 1967, its designer was Larry Shinoda and the new model was named Corvette Sting Ray. This car was different because of its split rear window, witch it was discontinued in 1964 due to safety concerns.

The car has the L71 V8 engine, four-wheel disc brakes, and a four-speed manual gearbox. It is finished in Rally Red paint and has a factory hardtop.

Chevrolet Corvette C3, so the third generation Corvette was launched in 1967. It's new shape had as a nickname the "coke-bottle". C3 was available in two versions of shape: Coupe and Convertible.
The third generation Corvette was introduced in 1967. The new bodyshape would soon be known as the 'coke-bottle'. It was available with a Coupe and Convertible body. The Coupe was equipped with removable roof panels and a removable rear window.

The fourth experiment of Corvette series (C4) was first produced in 1995. This model didn't had to many exterior improvements from the previous generation with the exception of the revised grill panel design. Very few vehicles elicit the same kind of satisfaction as the Chevrolet Corvette. The 'Vette is a symbol of childhood dreams and grown up triumph. C4 become in short time an icon as a high-performance and dynamic sports vehicle.

1997 was the year when Corvette hit the market with a radical change. With a hydroformed box frame, the engine is connected, trough a torque tube to the rear-mounted transaxle assembly. he 4L60E automatic transmission carried on, but the manual was replaced by the Borg-Warner T-56. Gone were the squeaks and rattles of the C4, and in replacement was an incredibly strong frame that would last for at least two more generations. The new car was a lot better in every way than his predecessor.
After 52 years and 5 generations Corvette launched C6, witch is the coolest car ever, because of its original shape that made the first Corvette buyers to fall in love with the car with new and modern shapes, with a luxury interior, and with lots of high generation updates. Each model has multiple versions like ZR1, witch is a version of C6 with the most powerful engine used by Corvette.

"Chevrolet's goal with the new ZR1 is to show what an American supercar can deliver, at a price that trumps exotics that cost two, three or four times as much - and does so with exceptional driveability."A new generation, C7 is waited in 2010.
The classic never dies, the new always attracts us and the speed gives us the freedom that we are looking for when we stand behind the wheel. Six generations of Chevrolet Corvette delighted us with the best combination of those. Feel free to enjoy the happiness of being a driver.
