Cool Remote Concept

It is described as a TV remote for active people and designed for using in the kitchen.
I can agree with the fact that the kitchen is “the most dynamic place in the home” but I don’t agree with “the operation is so simple you don't even have to look at it”.
This so called no-touch remote control designed for Bang & Olufsen by a Dutch student looks very cool and stylish and I would surely love to see it every day on the desk in the living; I don’t understand why it is associated with a kitchen.
I would rather use a more elegant presentation for it and I am not referring at the photos but at its use.
I prefer to use this no-touch remote control for all the electronic devices I have in my home but in the kitchen it would be indicated something more … resistant at water, oil spills and such.

It seems that this remote concept would turn itself On automatically, lifting up, when you turn on the TV, and it can balance between 0 and 40 degrees angles.
To change the volume you’d have to change the tilt angle, while the channels are changing if you move your finger through the remote’s cavity, so this can’t be called an operation so simple that “you don't even have to look at it”.
Though, you should watch the video about the remote control and tell us your own opinion.
