Dual SIM cell phones were introduced on the worldwide market by the Chinese company called CECT, a subsidiary of Qiao Xing Mobile Communication, a leading manufacturer of mobile handsets in the country. Several other cell phone manufacturers adopted their technologies and sell re-branded models. CECT also created the cool cell phone with fingerprint scanner and the phone with cardiograph.

Qiao Xing Mobile Communication has a special brand called VESA, which includes cool luxury cell phones such as the recently introduced VEVA S600 model designed for the high-end market. It was introduced in May and is dedicated to female professionals, delivering an elegant and luxury model with advanced features.
The collaboration with Swarovski brings lots of benefits to all cell phone providers and one example is the Swarovski cell phone from Amosu Luxury, we wrote about a few days ago. In the Chinese company’s case the VEVA S60 features 129 crystal mosaic from Swarovski and 18K gold coating, with a thickness of just 9.5 millimeters at 88 grams.

Available at an amazingly low price of just $290, the cool cell phone is reaching 300,000 units sold for this quarter of 2008.

CECT VESA S60 does not feature Dual SIM capability but has an amazingly long standby time of almost 48 days using a 2150mAh Li-Ion battery, which provides 9 hours of talk time. In addition, there is the TFT display of 65K colors measuring 2 inches in diagonal, 32MB memory, built-in digital camera of 1.3MP with video recording, multimedia player, radio, Java, e-book support, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, handwriting recognition, WAP browser, and health management capabilities.
