Found this concept on YankoDesign, so you don’t want to get too excited about it, because you know that chances are slim for it to become reality sometime soon, yet not impossible. What I am trying to say here is that you should keep your feet on the ground, even if you’ll immediately start to dream about having the Minutuner in your home.




And if you have the impression that this isn’t the first time to see the device, you’re not completely wrong, because what you have in front of your eyes is nothing but a limited edition, if I may say so, of the Time Tuner, another alarm clock designed by the same Turkish company, Antrepro Design Industry.

According to the designers, these colorful bedside alarm clocks that you see in the pictures are “an attempt to change our perception of time”. The minimalist design gives it a dose of elegance that is precisely what people need in this superficial and pretentious world that we live in. And, let’s be honest, it couldn’t get simpler than this!



The design is obviously based on a particular theory as far as the perception of time is concerned, which doesn’t see time as a cycle that does nothing but to repeat itself, over and over again. No, time moves forward, with no possibility of turning back.

A great advantage of this bedside alarm clock is the fact that you can easily read it, making no efforts in this direction, not even when trying to wake up in the mornings, after a couple of hours of sleep. I know what’s in your mind right now: you think this isn’t such an impressive advantage, because this is how clocks are supposed to be. Maybe you’re right, but take in consideration devices like those manufactured by Tokyo Flash and you’ll understand the reason why I consider it to be such a great thing.




The hour is described by the number on the left, written with bold digits, while the red bar was designed to show the minutes. Available in a wide variety of colors, including red, yellow, orange, green and blue, these colorful bedside alarm clocks won’t be commercialized if the designer doesn’t find a partner to help him with the mass production of the product.
