Ciarcadian and Titanic DNA Timepieces

What’s this, another watch concept? Give us a break! Wait, it doesn’t tell time? It’s not a watch then, or…. is it? Looks like one, at least. In fact it’s Swiss watchmaker Romain Jerome's "Day&Night" watch. Hmm… a circadian cycle watch? Now that’s something you don’t see every 24 hours. The circadian watch does not tell the time, it only informs you whether it’s night or day and it sold out for $300,000.

The "Day&Night" watch integrates the complicated Tourbillon movement technology. This special movement is supposed to overcome earth's gravity which used to affect the accuracy of watches in the past. Nevertheless, this watch proved its luring capabilities on watch connoisseurs, physics geeks, as well as fashion victims.

Sticking with expensive watches, I also stumbled upon the "Titanic DNA" (also from RJ) watch, which is made from steel and coal from the Titanic and can cost as much as $500,000. Yep, I’m talking about a limited-edition timepiece made using materials recovered from the sunken ocean liner. Available in several different versions, the coolest one seems o be the "extreme rusted steel," with its bezel forged out of authentic Titanic parts, titanium and blackened steel casing, black dial integrating recovered coal from the ship, and La Joux-Perret mechanism. Geez, to spend a fortune on some rusty, coaly watch? Nuts, I tell you.
