Christian Science Church Opens Website.Lol!
Posted by: Sierra Monica B. in News

Lately I’ve heard of several churches launching official websites making the announcements via press releases.
Today I have received one special press release about a new religious group which has unveiled their new website.
This religious group (if I may call it like that being not very clear what it is exactly) has a very “interesting†name - The Christian Science Church – and this makes me wonder what new names will the other churches invent to attract adepts and lie us all. Now, seriously, what does the science got to do with this …church?!

I've surfed their website a little to discover their basic principles and look what I’ve found:

In the press release it says that it’s a website where you can find a series of video clips showing people sharing their personal experiences in the Christian Science and talking about how they were healed by praying, and these are the words of Tom Black, speaking on behalf of The Christian Science Board of Directors:
"People hear about Christian Scientists relying on prayer for healing, but what does that really mean? It is good to know that people who rely on the Web for information have a place where they can hear about Christian Science healing directly from those who have experienced it."
According to their announcements, this website exists to offer accurate information about the Christian Science and Church activities, and to clear up the following “misconceptionsâ€:
- Why Christian Scientists choose to rely on prayer for healing;
- That Christian Science is not Scientology;
- That Christian Science is a Christian, Bible-based religion, not a cult.
(If all these religious groups like Jehovah Whiteness and this scientific church are Bible-based religions, than what is a cult?)
And the most ridiculous and annoying part is this:
“This is part of a long-term plan to develop a family of Web sites, and interested individuals should return from time to time to explore further.â€
I can’t wait to read your opinions about the meaning of spreading churches’ websites.
