Cell Phone

If all those superb HTC models that already exist on the market were not enough, HTC has announced the release of a new cell phone, more beautiful, more elegant, smarter and sexier than all those that were before it. Yes, I’m talking about the HTC Wildfire, the latest smart phone announced this month by HTC. Aside from having a beautiful appearance, this cell phone is also going to gather a lot of the newest technology features.
The Wildfire offers support for both 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) as well as 3G networks (HSDPA 900 / 2100). This unit measures 106.8 x 60.4 x 12 mm in dimensions and it has a total weight of 118 grams. Sure, it may not be the thinnest nor the lightest cell phone ever but I’m sure that the features are going to make the dimensions seem worthless. The entire front side is covered by a 3.2 inches touch screen that offers support for 16 M colors and it comes at a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. This display is the center piece of this cell phone as it comes with a lot of cool features that every smart phone display should have: touch sensitive control, accelerometer sensor for auto rotate, proximity sensor, an optical trackpad, a multi touch input method and also the HTC sense user interface.

Another very important aspect for a smart phone is always going to be the memory. The HTC Wildfire comes with 384 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM but thanks to the microSD card slot, you can add up to 32 GB of internal memory. This cell phone comes with a lot of cool features like an integrated WI-Fi which gives you the possibility to connect to the internet using available wireless connections, just like a laptop. One of the things you are going to really love about the Wildfire is the included camera. The 5 MP camera found on this smart phone features LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging and smile detection and with all that, it can take pictures at a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. This mobile device takes its power from a 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM 7225 processor and it uses the Android v2.1 operating system to run all your applications.

If we were to start making a complete list of the features this cell phone has, it would probably take us long hours. Instead, let us speak of the things you really want to hear. If listening to music is your main interest, you will be happy to know that this mobile phone comes with an MP3 / WAV / AAC+ / WMA9 music player and if you like to watch a good clip or movie from time to time, you can use this phone’s included MP4 / WMV9 / H.263 / H.264 video player. You can use your cell phone to connect to social networks like Facebook, Twitter or Flickr. It is said that battery performance is never spectacular on a smart phone but the HTC Wildfire did a pretty good job at impressing us. With the standard Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery, this unit will manage to stay on for 8 hours and 10 minutes of talk time in a 3G network and about 690 hours in standby mode.
