At CeBIT 2008, Logitech presents the world’s first wireless stereo headset destined for Internet calls with a personal computer, under the name ClearChat PC Wireless.
It adopts the 2.4GHz wireless technology and delivers high-quality audio and the freedom to move at 10 meters distance from the PC, while making VoIP calls.
For PC/Mac connectivity it comes with USB transmitter, and you can use the ClearChat PC Wireless headset with Skype, Yahoo!, Windows Live, Goole Talk and AIM.
Talking about the sound quality, the Logitech headset uses a special advanced algorithm for minimizing interference even in airports, offices and other busy wireless environments, while using noise cancellation and proprietary laser-tuned sound drivers.
Logitech announced a retail price of $99.99 for the Europe and US availability in May.
"More and more people are making voice calls over the Internet, but until now, they have had to choose between wired headsets that keep them tethered to their PCs or wireless headsets that offer poor audio and voice quality," declared Gina Clark, general manager and vice president of Logitech's Internet Communications business unit. "With the Logitech ClearChat PC Wireless headset, people can make a PC call while grabbing a snack, sitting on the couch or leaning back in their chair - PC calling has never been so convenient and never sounded so good."
