Cool Guns

cool-guns-s
A gun is a firing projectile that is actually a weapon. There are many kinds of guns such as firearms or small guns like pistols or rifles. The generic term ,,gun’’ was used to name artillery tubes and sea-based naval cannon. This weapon has a tubular barrel and a hollow. The directing of the projectile is made by the tubular barrel. The term ,,gun’ is also referring to grease gun , glue gun, staple gun, nail gun. Guns are divided by the means of firing, by the type of barrel, the caliber and the purpose of the weapon. Rifled is a type of barrel which has angles in it and spiraled grooves. You can  identify guns variations  by the projectile size and barrel diameter. The bullet has an explosive shell. Explosive liquid, explosive solid or even air may be the propellant. The word ,,cannon’’ replaces the ford ,,gun’’ and it is a word that come from the French language. Back in time, firing a gun was seen as black art because of the sulfur smell and flash.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
In military use, guns were called the weapons that fired directly. The word cannon doesn’t refer to the weapon system but to the actual gun tube and the name gunner is used for members that fire the gun. As the name implies, autocannons are automatic guns that are mounted on a vehicle and fire shells. Machine guns are almost the same .Gun type fission weapon is a nuclear weapon  while captive bolt gun is used to slaughter animals. For hunting, shotguns are normally used.

When you handle firearms, you have to know the recommendations and rules that can be applied, in order the risks to be minimized or eliminated. Risks such as injury or unintentional death can be caused by handling the firearms  not in  an improper way. Firearms are dangerous and they have to be handled with care. You should take the finger off the trigger and point the weapon at the ground. The best way to be safe is to think that your gun is always loaded, in this way you will be more careful with it.

Here are some other ways in which guns can be detrimental to bystanders or handlers: the noise is one of them. I’ sure you have all seen in movies when actors are learning how to shoot, they have headsets. Tinnitus is a permanent or temporary hearing damage so in order to prevent this you have to use hearing protection.

cool-guns-2

A gun emits powder and gases that can do harm. The toxic effects are now diminished. The risk of exposure is also diminished if you wash your hand properly after you use a gun , clean and ventilate the space. Although are made to function well, malfunction can also happen.:  hang-fires -delayed discharge., duds- failures to discharge and squibs- insufficient discharge. ,,Jam’’ refers to mechanical malfunctions and include eject or extract a cartridge, failure to fully cycle after firing.

People always made a connections between guns and violence. But guns are not always bad. You can defend yourself with a gun if you feel you are in danger. This is a legal act but if you use guns to harm someone it’s illegal.

Below you can find some cool guns and a short description for each of them.

-Pistole Parabellum 1908 also called Luger. In both War Wars this gun was used by Germans. After that,  they were collected as trophies.

-Walther PR and PPK is a semi-automatic double action gun and the first one was released in 1929.

-Colt M1911 has a successful design used by United States Army. Now you can still see it in video games and movies.

-Glock Pistol was created in 1982 and it is a semi-automatic gun. It is the gun that became ideal for FBI, police.

-  Colt Python is one of the most popular revolver.

-CZ75 was created by Czech and made of high quality steel.

-you can still find Mause C96 which is made even today.

Here are some benefits of cool guns: when  someone kills another one just to save the victims, several lives are spared. These  aspects demonstrates that there are more aggravated assault, rapes and less murders. Children are more likely to die from accidents, burn or drowning than from gun accidents.

cool-guns-4

The person who will be held responsible is, of course, the one who was behind the trigger. People should take responsibility for their actions so if they want to have a gun they also have to make a liability insurance, they will cover the loses in case they harm someone with the gun.

The bad part is that 5 percent of home homicide are committed with the gun that was held in the house. Even know we can’t still decide whether is a good or bad thing to own a gun. Although it is appealing to me the idea of a world without guns, the number of people who want guns is increasing. We can’t decide and in fact we don’t have to decide if it’s a bad or a good think to have a  gun. We just have to think under what conditions someone could own a gun. The question is ,,do we really have the right to own guns?’’ Many think that we have not only the moral right  but also the Constitutional one in order to own a gun. If they are correct that is left for us to judge. Meanwhile, we have to live with guns around us, and that’s a fact.

EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition 3.5

easeus-partition-master-home-edition-35-01s
If you got a new hard drive, then you probably have to create some partitions before moving forward, right? For years and years, I kept hearing that Partition Magic is the best thing you can get for this task, and I must admit I also used it without bumping into any problems for almost a decade, but now things have changed...
easeuspartitionmasterhomeedition35_01
After Symantec got its hands on Partition Magic, it came up with a new update, and then left it in the dust. Yes, if this sounds like a surprise to you, I am sorry to tell you that Partition Magic is officially dead, so no support for large drives and new file systems is being provided.
<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->
The good news is that we have a lot of alternatives to Partition Magic around, and EASEUS Partition Master is one of them, with its "Home" version also being available for no charge to home users!

Setup

The setup package of this program is as large as 8.9MB, and comes in a ZIP file. So far, so good. I guess most people shouldn't have any problems downloading such a small archive, and since there's only one executable file inside it...double click it and move on!
easeuspartitionmasterhomeedition35_02
As soon as you run the setup program, you only need to check the License Agreement, read the important information(or skip it, it's your choice), choose the destination folder, where to place the shortcuts, create additional desktop and Quick Launch icons(or not, obviously), enter your name and email if you want to receive newsletters and additional info from EASEUS, and...that's most of it.
easeuspartitionmasterhomeedition35_03
Once you press the Install button, it only takes a few seconds for the program to be installed, and after pressing the Finish button, you're free to fire up EASEUS Partition Master!

The version I played with is Home Edition 3.5, but there are also more powerful ones, namely EASEUS Partition Master Professional Edition, Server Edition, and Unlimited Edition. Just before moving on, I think you should know that we got a coupon code just for you - CHEN-K0QO-SOFT! This one is available for all EASEUS Products, and will give you a 20% discount.

These being said, let's check the interface, shall we?

Interface

The interface of this program is just as it should be - easy to use, well organized, and without using outrageous colors(have you ever seen a vivid green interface? I've seen a few, and I don't want to repeat that experience!), with nicely done toolbar icons.
easeuspartitionmasterhomeedition35_04
If you ever used Partition Magic or another similar program, EASEUS Partition Master will help you feel just like home, but even if you're using such a program for the first time, I am sure you won't encounter any problems. Anyway, if this happens, it's useful to know that Partition Master comes with a documentation well done and very easy to go through, so there's no room for "this is a program for experts" excuse!

Features

Needless to say, Partition Master is the master of partitions(hehe), so you can use this program to perform all those basic partitioning operations, but there's also a bit of extra juice to this piece of code, as we're going to see right away...

Partition Master supports hard drives between 2GB and 1.5TB, and as long as you don't have more than 32 drives in your system, working with them shouldn't be a problem. The basic partition operations I mentioned above are the following: create, resize/move, delete, change label(or assign a label, if a certain partition doesn't have it set yet), and format.
easeuspartitionmasterhomeedition35_05
One nice feature, only present in the paid editions of the program, allows you to create Bootable Disks, but if we leave this aside, there are also two excellent tools in the Home Edition - the Copy Disk Wizard, and the Copy Partition Wizard. What's so special about them?
easeuspartitionmasterhomeedition35_06
Well, as the name says, both wizzies allow you to copy an entire disk, or a partition. Obviously, you'll need another drive to do this, but this feature is great for those who want to keep backup copies of their installed OS, right after setting all up. The reason to do this? Think about the fact that time is our most precious asset, and I won't have to say another extra word!
easeuspartitionmasterhomeedition35_07
Other than the above...I guess there's not much to say, apart from the fact that Partition Master Home Edition supports Windows Vista, but only the advanced editions come with 64-bit and Windows Server support. I guess you can't have everything for free, after all...

The Good

EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition allows most average users perform tasks they considered only experts are up to, or that they required some expensive piece of code. Using it is as easy as 1-2-3, and the fact that it supports drives up to 1.5TB in size is also a big plus, but it doesn't stop here...give it a try to see it all, it's free!

The Bad

I know Windows is (still) almighty, but it's not wise to release such a program having only support for NTFS and FAT32. Other than that, I can't say anything bad about this program...apart from the fact that the Home Edition that I played with had the Tool menu, a menu with a single option - Create Bootable Disk, option that is not available in this version.

Conclusion

EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition 3.5 is a great tool for anyone, as long as they're not thinking about a dual boot machine, and I am talking about Windows/Linux here.

More than just a partition utility, Partition Master also allows you to backup partitions or entire hard drives, and everything is well explained in the documentation, and very easy to achieve.
easeuspartitionmasterhomeedition35_08
Even when we take the price of the paid versions into account, Partition Master still delivers great value, and the Home Edition is the best partitioning tool you can get for no money...at least I haven't been able to find a better all-around performer just yet.

What is Blu-ray technology?

what-is-blu-ray-technology-02s1
I first had the chance to find out about the Blu-ray a couple of months ago, when I participated in a contest and I had to write a story inspired by the Blu-ray technology. I had to dive into the matter to know at least what my source of inspiration was, and then I came up with a weird story that had something to do with the concept above-mentioned, even if the connection was very easy to perceive by me only.

Anyway, the technology is very well known these days by people who are always connected to the latest technological innovations and has enjoyed an impressive attention from manufacturers from all over the world and customers, in the same measure. This is why Blu-ray is all over the town as we speak.

what-is-blu-ray-technology-02

For those who don’t know (‘cause I’m sure there are still many people out there who are precisely in the position I was in a couple of months ago) here we have a short presentation of the technology. The Blu-ray (pay attention, it’s not BLUE-ray!) is also known as Blue-ray Disc (or abbreviated as BD) is the name used for the next generation of optical disc formats that were developed by the Blu-ray Disc Association (which is also known as BDA). The BDA is nothing but some sort of a “party” resulted from the collaboration between famous brands (from consumer electronics to personal computer and media manufacturers), such as Apple (who would have guessed?), Samsung, LG, Philips, Sony, Panasonic, Dell, Hitachi, Thomson, JVC, Pioneer, Sharp or Mitsubishi. You must agree, there are some powerful names in the previous enumeration.

<-300x250 Medium Rectangle - center->

The name is a derivation from the blue laser which is violet colored. The Blu-ray disc is based on the blue laser (compared to the technologies available so far, like the DVD, DVD±RW and DVD-RAM, based on a red laser), as it helps it not only to read to this new type of disk, but also to write. One of the violet laser advantages is the 405nm wavelength, shorter than the one of a red laser, which is of 650nm.

what-is-blu-ray-technology-011

If you wonder why in earth someone had this wild idea, of releasing a brand new product, when there were already others in the market that did practically the same thing, you’ll understand as soon as I tell you the advantages of the Blu-ray technology. Therefore, the format’s apparition is due to the need to record, rewrite and playback all sorts of high-definition videos (HD). Not to mention the fact that the Blu-ray gives you the chance to store huge amounts of information, even if when it comes to its physical dimensions, is similar to the standard CDs and DVDs that you are all very familiar with.

You know the capacity storage of a traditional DVD. Multiply by five and you’ll be somewhere near the capacity of a BD. Pretty much, isn’t it? In addition, if the disc is single-layered, then it’s able to store up to 25GB, while the double-layered one stores 50GB.

The Blu-ray technology is more and more exploited these days, as approximately 200 of the most important manufacturers from all over the world decided to adopt it. Not to mention the success it had when it comes to the Hollywood studios that are very eager to release their new movies on BD day-and-date with DVD. And I have a hunch that things will go further for the Blu-ray. Much further.
