It is a computer concept meant to help the work of digital artists, architects and other people passionate by visual arts.
In its description I read that it is destined also for painters but I don’t agree with this as you know art has nothing to do with digital lifestyle.



Though it helps all people develop their creativity and imagination in a nice way providing them with the next-generation technologies.
In any case if people would use it since childhood their interests will spread in two directions: computer graphics or art of painting.



Palette seems to be capable of connecting with all other small home electronics such as personal computers, monitors and other peripherals with wireless modules.
The drawing on Palette’s surface is possible thanks to the photo-optic visual sensor with color recognition which permits the use of all color tones possible.

Even if it comes in a small, compact form factor measuring 4400 x 2180 x 34 mm for ultra-portability, it is equipped for translating analog colors into digital corresponding formats, visual reproduction and 2D/3D production.



It’s clear that the designer chose the wooden palette used by professional painters for the Palette’s shape to inspire the idea that “classic meets modernity, when conservative meets digital”, while the modern air is brought by the black reflection glass-illuminating surface combined with minor wooden coloring and texture.

Palette PC design concept has a touch-sensitive surface and the brush-like stylus is the secondary input method after finger control.
The user can benefit from other features too such as a built-in music player, USB connectivity, data sharing, and wireless downloads.

The Napkin personal computer uses existent technologies in an innovative way to make creative professionals’ work easier and more pleasant.



It looks like a set of paper sheets with two available colored pen with which designers could participate in work group sessions and collaborate together in drawing their ideas on white paper so that later to transfer it in a desktop PC.

These sheets measure 180 x 180 x 2 mm and the user would draw with a pen stylus measuring 140 x 9 x 10 mm.
There is a base station of 160 x 150 x 150 mm and a mobile unit of 45 x 36 x 15 mm.



The key characteristic of the Napkin PC is the word “multiple” because it can be accessed by multiple users in the same time, has multiple interfaces and can support multiple settings, profiles.
It is modular and would be a great tool and companion for marketing professionals who need to have a creative mind in order to come out with innovative business plans and campaigns.



Napkin is powered by the pen wirelessly when the two are in the range, while the e-paper needs just little energy so it can be inductively powered.
On the base unit, or stand, we find an OLED display which doesn’t do anything special but showing the status data such as time, date and if the device is turned ON.



As a multi-touch-sensitive computer, the sheets of e-paper responds to the human touch, same as the pen does.

So let’s recapitulate: the sheets are in fact e-paper which reduced significantly the power consumption, they support multi-touch input, use inductive power circuits, and support high-speed RF wireless connectivity.

If a computer designed for the entire family which you’d control by gestures sounds too complex for you, and you don’t have children to record all their life activities with the I-Grow concept, or if you consider that a colorful round PC optimized for communication would look too girlie on you, then maybe you are interested in something easier to use, more personal and wearable, but not like a bracelet, instead something more like a necklace, to be worn on your neck.



Well, this would still match a woman’s style but is innovative and cool so let me tell you more about it.



Momenta PC concept has a special capability which distinguishes it among the other participants at the NextGen PC Design Competition: it records all your feelings for every last 5 minutes.
It does this by detecting increased heart beats like when you are laughing, are anxious, extremely nervous or scared.



Momenta runs on Microsoft operating system, is very lightweight, so you can carry it everywhere you go, probably without even feel you are wearing something on your neck.
To access its features you would use gestures and the intuitive touch-sensitive interface.
It uses 700MHz wide area coverage via Wi-Fi technology and connects to the Internet and other portable digital devices, for information sharing.



More than that, you can set its OLED exterior display to show any type of texture you fell like, as you can see in these pictures.
Those fashionable graphics can be downloaded from the Internet or you could design them by yourself.



Measuring 5.6 x 6 x 1.6 inches, Momenta connects wirelessly to physical keyboards and mice, as well as monitors.
Inside it has a molecular-shift processor, the memory, micro-fuel cell battery power, low-energy projection system based on advanced generation extended cavity surface emitting optoelectronic chip-laser technology, heart sensor, skin conductivity sensors, and the OLED thin film cover screen for the one-way mirror effect camera.



The designer thought in using a single flex circuit enclosed in polished, anodized aluminum links and polycarbonate alloy case work.
These links are thermally isolated, while the external slots between the links act as a heat dissipation feature.

The flat component that you see in pictures is the stationary central unit containing the media card, processor, drives and network card, and there is also a mobile satellite part with the built-in Life operating system, a processor and the flash memory.
To go beyond the standard limits of an operating system, Life OS used in MARRO PC concept can operate digital data and electronic devices used daily by the user.



With MARRO you could access the other electronics in your home such as e-food menus, touch screen computers, mobile phones, media players, digital cameras, automobile dashboards, info kiosks, e-pages and video game controllers.
E-food menus help you with choosing the right ingredients when you’re in a restaurant, because MARRO always knows what diet you are struggling to keep and your health condition as well, so it is able to make recommendations depending on those recordings of your blood sugar, cholesterol, hydration and other factors.



The designer liked to say that MARRO marries you with the operating system and that’s why he conceived the Life Pattern software which displays a daily media map when placing the rechargeable Ring Finger on a touch-sensitive screen, where the pattern is merged, filtered and synchronized wirelessly.

According to its creator, MARRO is small, round, ultra-mobile and secure, based on the fingerprint sensor technology.
It has a stylish design, a complex and advanced interface, saving time when you have to manage large amounts of data, while you feel like using media and enjoying life.



The PC concept’s central unit would measure 15 cm in diameter, 8 cm in height, and the MARRO Ring could come in different sizes and shapes, like a bracelet, necklace or other personal, wearable accessory.
You would be the one to choose which recyclable material to use for MARRO, and here you can think of gold, silver, plastic, to make it look fashionable on your finger, like a normal wearable ring.

INFO Live is not a complex PC concept but a very simple one, compared to the other NextGen PC Design Competition participants, and it adopts the easy wearable design idea, a bracelet.



Created as a personal portable storage device easy to browse, INFO Live can perform various tasks combining a mobile handset with personal computer functionality.



You could use it for Internet connectivity, data transfer with other wireless-enabled devices, store lots of information, receive the latest news, e-mails, messages, documents in real-time, watch videos, pictures , listen to the music and write documents while on the go.
It is like a watch so it sports a small display, meaning you’d probably have to connect it to a larger screen or use a projector while working.



The users would access INFO Live via a super easy to use and intuitive interface to manage their data as they like, where they like, using natural gestures such as flipping and finger kicking.



Measuring 55 x 20 x 180 mm, the watch computer would be used mainly by business people that need to travel frequently, and that’s why it should be conceived to be compact, smart, colored in classic black, with the ability to give you a tactile feel while touching it.
